I've been in the Red Cross since 1998, i accidentaly joined the Red Cross Youth in La Union-San Fernando City Chapter, a province 6 hours away from the capital of the philippines-manila.The basic Leadership Training which is the core program of the Red Cross Youth in the Philippines served as my entry point, i was inspired by my facilitators, that inspiration helped me to get the highest position in the Red Cross Youth and the Philippine National Red Cross per se, I am now serving as the National Youth Council President and a member of the highest policy making body of the Phil. National Red Cross- the Board of Governors.I served also as an active advocate for HIV/AIDS and drug abuse prevention here in the phils., I dream that every family will have one active red cross youth volunteer, internalizing the vission, mission and values of the philippine national red cross helped me to externalize them in action.
